  1. My favorite is a glass pickle that I was given from my grandmother. I hide it on the tree and first kid that finds it gets to open presents first.

  3. My favorite ornaments are the clear crystal snowflakes that were my moms. They remind me of her and how much she loved Christmas.

  4. Every one of my ornaments have a story behind them so it is hard to chose a fave. If I have to chose, it's an upside down glittery snowman that looks like he's hanging by his foot. It's the first ornament given by my hubby to me for OUR tree in our first home.

  5. My favorite is my broken glass angel. I collected angels as a child and many were gifts from my Grandma. This angel was from my Grandma and I think she was even the one that dropped it. She loved Christmas and died when I was 17 just before Christmas. I always remember her when I see that angel on my tree.

  6. Third time's the charm....I hope. My favorite ornament is a silver train (real silver) that my son got from Sinterklaas when he was a toddler. Is is so delicate and intricately crafted. I have to to carefully place it on the tree each year, making sure I don't actually touch it so it doesn't tarnish. I reminds me of the Polar Express....our favorite holiday movie.

  8. 2nd post attempt: Red glittery star. My 4 kids did not have the pleasure to meet my mother, and so now that we have our own Christmas tree I place it on top of our tree! My children stated that it also reminds them of my mother, although the oldest is nine and the youngest is 1 years old they said that it reminds them of her too.

  9. my fave ornaments are the ones I made with my grandma when I was little. she would by the silk-thread covered foam ball ornaments and we would dress them up with ribbon and sequins and beads attached with ribbon, so fancy! I also cherish a set of ornaments my grandpa made by hand and painted.

  10. My favorite is an ornament from the college I graduated from that my mom got for me at a craft show that we always go to together.

  11. It's a tie between the handmade glass dragon that my mother tracked down for me years ago because I didn't want a "traditional" ornament and the original LEGO creations that my DD makes for the tree each year.
