My favorite is the first day of soccer last September with my then four-year-old son. We witnessed what we called "The Swarm." Fifteen or so four-year olds all moving together in unison towards one goal...the ball! Didn't matter which direction on the field it was going - they were ALL chasing it. The coach desperately tried to separate them into "positions" but alas, they only really wanted to get the ball. Would have looked funniest if you flew over them in an airplane. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the soccer swam too - I even decided to coach my son when he was 3-5 and will be doing the same with my daughter. There is just NO WAY to teach positions at that age!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winner of the tickets, Teresa Fulimeni - Her entry was on AnnArbor.com. Thanks readers and keep posted, you never know when another contest will come up!
