I wanted pass along information for an upcoming event called Take Back The Night. While it isn't a "child" focused event, it might be a powerful event for teens to be exposed to - Especially teens headed to college soon.
Take Back The Night is a rally and march to raise awareness about sexual assault and to give survivors a voice. It is held on the campus of U of M on the Diag and starts at 7:00 p.m. on April 7, 2011. There will be musical and dance performances, readings, local organizations tabling and then march through the streets of Ann Arbor, followed by a brief candlelight vigil.
