On Sunday, January 8th starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Independence Lake (3200 Jennings Rd., Whitmore Lake 48189) Beach Center, families can head out for a nice 1-hour winter hike into the lovely mature oak-hickory woods of the park. After the hike everyone will head inside for a potluck. Hot drinks will be provided, but please bring your own table settings and a dish to pass.
After eating, we’ll share slides and nature tales, from near and far! Consider bringing some of your own vacation photos too - an actual old-fashioned slide projector and computer with a powerpoint projector will be on hand, or consider bringing hand held photos.
